Duelfer Report
The Iraq Survey Group (ISG) was a fact-finding mission sent by the multinational force in Iraq after the 2003 invasion of Iraq to find the weapons of mass destruction allegedly possessed by Iraq that had been the main reason for the invasion. Its final report is called the Duelfer Report. It consisted of a 1,400-member international team organized by the Pentagon and Central Intelligence Agency to hunt for the alleged stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction, including chemical and biological agents, and any research that could be used to develop WMD. The ISG was made up of more than one thousand American, British and Australian citizens, with the United States providing resources for the operation. These people included civilian and military intelligence experts, also a large number of people providing armed security and support. David Kaya weapons inspector after the first Gulf War, was the leader of the group. After six months of searching for WMD, the ISG issued a report in October 3 2003. The team said it had found evidence of "WMD-related program activities" but no real chemical, biological or nuclear weapons were found. On 30 September 2004, the ISG released the Duelfer Report.
